In a major expansion of its multi-chain capabilities, MetaMask has officially integrated support for the Solana blockchain into its browser extension. Starting today, users can send, receive, swap, bridge, and buy Solana-based tokens directly within the MetaMask Extension — and interact seamlessly with Solana dapps — all while leveraging the wallet’s industry-leading security features.

With this update, Solana can now be used natively inside MetaMask, right alongside Ethereum and other supported blockchains, eliminating the need for multiple wallets or complicated cross-chain workflows. Users can manage their Solana and Ethereum accounts in a single, unified interface.

Support for Solana on the MetaMask mobile app is also on the horizon. According to MetaMask, mobile integration is expected to roll out in the coming weeks, extending the same seamless experience to users on the go.

Looking ahead, MetaMask plans to continue expanding its non-EVM network support, aiming to make “wallet juggling a thing of the past.” The goal is a truly universal crypto wallet — one wallet, one interface, every network.

With this move, MetaMask is positioning itself as the go-to solution for a growing number of users navigating the multi-chain future of web3.
