Today the Bitcoin price surges almost 5.5% and made a new all-time-high of $24,596.34 USD. It seems that it’s Merry Christmas for all the Bitcoin holders.
AT press time Bitcoin was trading at $24,464.38 USD and the price is up by almost 5.19% as per CoinMarketCap. The BTC dominance also increases to 68.2% in the whole cryptocurrency market.

More institutional players entering into the crypto industry is the main reason for the this year surge in various cryptocurrencies. Like PayPal, MassMutual, MicoStrategy etc entering in the crypto industry is a boost for the market.
On Dec 21st, MicroStrategy announces purchase of additional 29,646 bitcoins for approximately $650.0 million. The total aggregate purchase price now reaches $1.125 billion with an average purchase price of approximately $15,964 per bitcoin.

The XRP price plunges almost more than 60% after the SEC lawsuit against it. US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) sued both the founder and current CEO of tech company Ripple for raising more than $1.3 billion through an “unregistered securities offering” after selling their cryptocurrency XRP.
XRP was the 3rd largest cryptocurrency before the recent SEC price crash. XRP currently the 4th largest cryptocurrency market USDT being the 3rd. The market cap of XRP is $16,634,794,759 while that of USDT is $20,675,556,370 at press time.
