Coinbase Adds Support for Tether (USDT) Stablecoin on its Platform

Crypto exchange Coinbase, finally adds the support for Tether (USDT) on its platform in the iOS and Android apps. Users can now be able to buy, sell, convert, send, receive, or store USDT in the Coinbase-supported regions except New York state.

Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin available on several blockchains whose value remains the same as that of the US Dollar. But, for the time being, Coinbase only supports ERC-20 USDT tokens that are running on the Ethereum blockchain. Coinbase adds support for USDT citing huge demand from its users.

The team is working aggressively to provide more services to its users and also to attract institutional players. Last week it also announces the acquisition of real-time actionable data analytics firm Skew.

According to the official blog post, “we’re excited to integrate skew’s data analytics platform with Coinbase Prime, allowing our customers to track cryptocurrency spot and derivatives markets in real-time.”

Recently, Coinbase also announces its partnerships with payment giant PayPal. Coinbase customers can now easily buy crypto on the platform through their PayPal account.
