CertiK Closes Additional $60M Funding Round From SoftBank

CertiK, the web3 and blockchain security company today announces that it had closed an additional $60M funding round from SoftBank. Two weeks before CertiK receives $88M in a funding round led by Insight Partners at a $2 billion valuation.

The official Twitter handle of CertiK tweets, “We are pleased to announce an additional $60 million USD investment from SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Tiger Global.”

“Adoption of Web3 is booming, but concerns around security are holding it back from reaching its full potential”, said Dennis Chang, Managing Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers.

“We believe CertiK combines deep expertise in cybersecurity, blockchains, and systems verification to provide companies with a leading solution in blockchain security and auditing. We are delighted to partner with Professor Gu and the team to support their mission of securing the Web3 world”.

Last month the Ronin Network, which is the infrastructure under the popular play-to-earn game Axie Infinity suffered a massive $625 million breach. Not only this, in February this year, blockchain bridge Wormhole lost $326 million in an exploit.
