John McAfee thinks that there is a war on cryptocurrencies. The tech activist and internet security expert is known for the creation of McAfee antivirus. McAfee anti-virus is one of the most utilized security software.

McAfee asserted that powerful political and economic forces are trying to obstruct the march of crypto revolution. He claimed that whether one is aware of it or not, there is a war going on.

He also revealed a list of enemy combatants as far as the ensuing battles are concerned. The one who make his list were SEC, governmental institutions, national and private banks and also the credit card companies.

These forces are afraid of the crypto movement. They are doing everything in their power to curb their massive expansion. He therefore made a call for crypto resistance.

The governmental attitude towards crypto was dismissive and fearful from the start. Chinese have demonstrated it with their crackdown. So did the South Koreans.

Even the regulatory barriers in enlightened governments such as Japan proved cumbersome to say the least. The governments in order to ban the crypto targeted the banks first and ordered them to withdraw their transactions in cryptocurrencies.

This has surely shrunk the expansion of crypto use among the masses, in the beginning. However, the core support base don’t need banking to enter in the crypto sphere. But the masses are not so familiar with the tech.

The SECs of various governments have taken drastic regulatory actions. One of the most harmful action was the categorization of cryptocurrencies as security not currencies.

This has limited the use potential in the mainstream. Nonetheless these methods have not influenced the core supporters of the crypto movement.

McAfee asked people to resist these attempts. There are many methods through which one can do that, he chimed.

Such as writing to one’s congressmen, asking one’s bank about crypto transactions, if they deny ask them which bank is doing that and go there.

These are some steps everyone take to effectively fight against this coercive campaign to deny the crypto assets their rightful place.
